Dear Valued Patients of South Charleston Pediatrics,
With great enthusiasm, we share that South Charleston Pediatrics is joining Valley Health Systems (Valley Health). Like South Charleston Pediatrics, Valley Health is a leader in providing quality and accessible healthcare to the multiple communities they serve. We are committed to you continuing to receive the same high-quality care you always have with a team you trust.
The transition is set to take place in February 2024, and we intend to keep you updated every step of the way. Once the change occurs, when you see us for services, you will become a patient of Valley Health. With that, sharing a few essential benefits when you receive care at Valley Health is important.
- MyChart Patient Portal- Valley Health has the premiere electronic health record, Epic, which provides a valuable and patient-friendly portal where you can access your records, send messages to your care team, request prescriptions, and schedule appointments.
- Integrated Services- Valley Health patients have the opportunity to receive coordinated care across its 22 service lines. That includes Pharmacy, OB/GYN, Family Medicine, Behavioral Health, Lab/Diagnostics, and more!
- Access and Affordability- Valley Health knows that whether it is for prevention or treatment, accessible and affordable quality healthcare is a top priority. Valley Health locations offer a variety of hours for walk-in services and routine appointments and a sliding fee discount program for individuals who may have difficulty paying for services.
- A Great Patient Experience- Much like South Charleston Pediatrics, Valley Health prides itself on providing an experience where patients feel supported, understood, and cared for by highly qualified professionals.
We also want to inform you of several other transitions that will be occurring. Elizabeth Hicks, Psychologist, is moving on to a new network. If you prefer to continue seeing Elizabeth Hicks, she will be relocating to Harmony 1 Kenton Dr. Ste 200, Charleston, WV 25311, and will be available for appointments at this new network. If you prefer to stay within Valley Health and South Charleston Pediatrics, we will work with you to identify an alternative provider.
Finally, we have happy retirement wishes for Dr. Diana Reynolds, one of our esteemed pediatricians! Dr. Reynolds will wrap up her 30-year career in February 2024. We wish her well during this new, exciting time. Our team is dedicated to providing the same care, attention, and quality that all of Dr. Reynolds' patients have grown to appreciate and expect.
