Alatheia Stickler, MD
Dr. Alatheia Stickler has been a
resident of West Virginia for over 25 years, though originally from South
Carolina. She received a bachelor degree in Biology and Psychology from Concord
College, prior to attending medical school at West Virginia University. After
completing a residency in Pediatrics through West Virginia University and
Charleston Area Medical Center in 1998, she joined South Charleston Pediatrics,
and has enjoyed practicing general pediatrics in the Charleston area since. Dr.
Stickler has three
terrific boys. Some of the topics she has special interest in include asthma,
allergies and eczema, child and adolescent weight management, child development
and autistic spectrum disorder. Dr. Stickler takes pleasure in spending free
time with her family, being involved in projects through her church, as well as
hobbies such as reading, running, bicycling and marshal arts.
Melanie Winnings, MD
Dr. Melanie A. Winnings is a native of West Virginia.
She received her bachelors degree in chemistry from Glenville State College in
1993. In 1997 she graduated from West Virginia University School of
Medicine. After completing her pediatric residency at CAMC through WVU
School of Medicine she practiced in Martinsville, VA. Two years later she
returned to West Virginia to join South Charleston Pediatrics. Dr.
Winnings is married to Keith Winnings, also a native of West Virginia.
Together they have two wonderful children, Samantha and Hunter. She enjoys
spending time with her family and volunteering for many community activities.
Sharmila Jones, MD
Dr. Sharmila grew up in
Parkersburg, WV where her parents still reside. She received an
undergraduate degree in economics and political science from Boston University
and her medical degree from the Marshall University School of Medicine. Her residency training was completed
at the Columbus Children's Hospital/Ohio State University; Dr. Jones is board
certified in pediatrics and is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Her special interests include breastfeeding, preventative medicine and international adoption. At home, she takes care of her four sweet children and husband Dr. Eric. In her spare time, Dr. Sharmila enjoys
painting, playing tennis, reading and taking walks with her family.
Eric Jones, MD
Dr. Eric is native to Charleston, WV. He received an
undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Virginia and attended
the Marshall University Medical School. He completed his pediatric
residency at the Columbus Children's Hospital/Ohio State University. He is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow in
the American Academy of Pediatrics. His special interests are caring for
multiples (twins, triplets, etc.) and former premature infants. Dr. Jones met his wife (Dr. Sharmila)
in medical school, and they have worked together since. They have four
wonderful children who always keep them running. Dr. Eric enjoys skiing,
biking, water sports and most any other outdoor activity he can share with his
family.
K. Michelle White, DO
Dr. K. Michelle White is a native to St. Albans, WV.
She received her B.S. degree from Marshall University and D.O. degree from the
West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg. Dr. White
completed her internship and pediatric residency at CAMC's Women's and
Children's Hospital. Dr. White currently lives in Scott Depot with her
husband and two children. They attend the Bible Center Church.
Julie McCallister, MD
Dr. Julie was born and raised in Huntington, WV where her
parents still reside. She studied biology at Marshall University, where
she went on to receive her medical degree and post-graduate pediatric residency
training. She has special interests in preventative medicine, well child
care and asthma/allergies. She currently lives in Hurricane, WV and plans
to marry her fiancé
in the spring of 2011. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time
with family and friends and staying fit.
Harmony Brown, MD
Dr. Harmony Brown is a WV native who grew up in
Spring Dale, WV. She attended West Virginia University and received a
bachelor’s degree in Biology. After completing medical school at Marshall
University, Dr. Brown did her pediatric residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital
in Louisville, KY. She then joined the faculty at the University of
Louisville in the Department of Pediatrics where she was an Assistant Professor
in Pediatric Hospital medicine for two years before moving back to WV with her
family. She joined South Charleston Pediatrics in September 2009. Dr.
Brown is board certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy
of Pediatrics. Her special interests include asthma, respiratory disorders
and managing children with chronic medical conditions. She and her husband,
Aaron, have two children, Tyler and Jacob and they enjoy spending time with
family and outdoor activities.
